50% Glycerol Solution

• Purchase 50% glycerol solution from Ricca Chemical Company, Glycerin (glycerol), 50% (v/v) Aqueous Solution, PN-3290-32.

  OR

• Prepare 50% glycerol solution:

  1. Mix an equal volume of water and 99% Glycerol, Molecular Biology Grade.

  2. Filter through a 0.2 μm filter.

  3. Store at −20°C in 1-ml LoBind tubes. 50% glycerol solution should be equilibrated to room temperature before use.
